Musk’s goal for the Boring Company is to create an eventual network of tunnels that would crisscross underneath the city, allowing cars and larger vehicles to zoom around at over a hundred miles per hour — without the obstacle of traffic. However, the company’s presentation last week was disappointing. For those expecting new tech putting into work this presentation was a complete lost of time. A car driven slowly in a tunnel was everything Musk showed that day. The station which is underground plus the low speed of the car made this a terrible experiment to show in public. 1.5 miles long which I can do faster in an evening run. There is no doubt about the capabilities of Musk. But sometimes it feels like some projects are part of his narrative and storytelling more than important feasible projects the world could need.
